COMMUNITY NEWS

  • On Friday morning, DuPage Care Center residents received over 1,000 heart-shaped balloons delivered by county board members and staff—each balloon carried a personalized note with a $5 donation that will support recreation programs at the center.  Naperville News 17

CULTURE NEWS

  • Naperville bakeries DeEtta's and Fiene's are accepting pre-orders for paczkis and king cakes ahead of Fat Tuesday and Valentine's Day. DeEtta's plans to produce up to 14,000 paczkis (with nine flavors) while Fiene's introduces a key lime paczki and extra king cakes.  Naperville News 17

  • Naperville Central teacher Seth Brady was named the Far West Suburbs Regional Teacher of the Year by ISBE. He is now in the running for 2026 Illinois Teacher of the Year — the winner will be announced at the ISBE awards banquet in April.  Naperville News 17
