On Friday morning, DuPage Care Center residents received over 1,000 heart-shaped balloons delivered by county board members and staff—each balloon carried a personalized note with a $5 donation that will support recreation programs at the center.

Naperville bakeries DeEtta's and Fiene's are accepting pre-orders for paczkis and king cakes ahead of Fat Tuesday and Valentine's Day.

DeEtta's plans to produce up to 14,000 paczkis (with nine flavors) while Fiene's introduces a key lime paczki and extra king cakes.

Naperville Central teacher Seth Brady was named the Far West Suburbs Regional Teacher of the Year by ISBE.
