BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Mega-grocer Woodman’s Food Market is building a large store on a 36-acre site at the northeast corner of Route 59 and 119th Street in Plainfield, planned to open in October with a gas station, convenience store, car wash, and up to nine outlots while creating about 215 jobs. Plainfield officials will begin improving the intersection on 119th Street this year and Route 59 next year — a project expected to boost local tax revenue by more than $700,000. Naperville News 17
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Downtown Naperville now features a 13-foot-wide, 23-foot-tall mural named Glow on the north side of the Liam Brex building at 220 S. Main Street, created by local artist Maddie Peterson who returned home to inspire joy in the community. The artwork, funded partly by a special arts grant from ArtForum—The Naperville Partnership for Public Arts, will be replaced yearly to showcase new local talent. Naperville News 17
