- ➤ On Wednesday morning, the Fort Payne Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution started Constitution Week at Brookdale Elementary School by ringing a bell and then visiting Mayor Scott Wehrli’s office in Naperville for a proclamation. The group later held ceremonies at Naper Elementary School and the Millennium Carillon to remember the Constitution's role in protecting rights—Constitution. Naperville News 17
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ North Central College welcomed a record 921 new undergraduate students, including 657 first-year and 264 transfer students, which boosted total enrollment to 3,179 for the fall semester—its highest enrollment in its 164-year history. Positively Naperville

- ➤ Registered voters in Naperville are signing petitions to help candidates qualify for the Primary Election on March 17—filing petitions will run from Oct. 27 to Nov. 3. - ➤ The Naperville Diamonds Softball Association announced that only two free clinics remain for the 8U Diamond Chips program for girls born after September 1 (clinics will be held at Frontier Park, Field 5 on September 30 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.) and (on October 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.), with parents required to call Coach Mo two days before attending.
