🎭 Culture
Today, a new community mural titled 'Our Shared Home' will be unveiled on the Naperville Township building— a project organized by Mandala South Asian Performing Arts that brought local ideas together to celebrate our diversity.
Residents joined forces in August to create the painting, ensuring a lasting mark of unity in Naperville.
🎓 Education
Indian Prairie School District 204 started its first full year after a $420 million bond passed last fall and will spend the funds on big school projects including a $96 million upgrade at Neuqua Valley High School set to begin by the 2028-29 school year.
The district will also update Hill and Gregory middle schools, replace lights with LED and add solar panels, install new entrances at 11 schools in summer 2026, and add turf fields for high schools before the next football season—officials will share project news with the community using a dashboard and QR codes.
🏛️ Government
Naperville City Council heard new ideas from ULI Chicago experts who studied the nearly 15-acre 5th Avenue area near the train station to explore better uses for its commuter parking and community space.
The report recommended hiring a consultant for a master plan and conducting a parking study, and the council has not set a timeline yet — residents can submit questions through the Help Center.
