CRIME NEWS

  • A midyear report from the Naperville Police Department shows overall major crimes have declined while drug offenses increased from 121 to 173, vandalism rose from 133 to 156, and robberies climbed from 10 to 13—officials note that enhanced police efforts led to more reported incidents.  Naperville News 17
  • An ISP trooper was injured when a suspected drunk driver hit their squad car early Sunday morning on I-88 at milepost 139 in DuPage County—when the trooper was assisting a broken-down tractor-trailer—and the Tesla driver, Sebastian G. Rodriguez from Romeoville, was taken to a hospital and faces DUI and aggravated Scott’s Law charges.  FOX 32
