- ➤ Four Naperville police officers rode 400 miles over four days in honor of their fallen colleagues while raising money for Concerns of Police Survivors— a nonprofit that supports families of officers killed in the line of duty. The ride, which started in Champaign and ended in Chicago, brought local communities together as the officers shared in a healing experience. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Naper Settlement received a $500,000 state grant to create four new intergenerational programs — Golden Days Senior Programs, Camp New Horizons, the Regional Institute for Teacher Education, and Field Trip Connect. The museum will use the funds to ease senior isolation, support children’s learning, and boost teacher development with a pilot program starting later this year and full programs in 2026. - ➤ Naperville Park District is inviting residents to share feedback on proposed improvements to Nike Sports Complex via an online questionnaire open from July 25 until August 8 — the district will use the input to finalize plans for an OS LAD grant with construction set to start in 2027 and 2028.
