An early morning attic fire in a Naperville home left it uninhabitable and displaced three residents when firefighters responded at 3:20 a.m. on July 18th—damage is estimated at $75,000 and no one was hurt.

Naperville police are investigating a complaint that District 203 school board member Melissa Kelley Black recorded a citizen’s finance committee meeting without consent—she denies any wrongdoing and is seeking legal advice.

On Tuesday, July 15, the Naperville Riverwalk hosted the Young Naperville Singers and local jazz musician Isabella Isherwood who performed a boat acoustic set with songs like 'Turn' and 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'—Downtown Naperville Alliance said the River Sounds series will run Tuesday evenings through July 29 to bring live music to the river.
