  • An early morning attic fire in a Naperville home left it uninhabitable and displaced three residents when firefighters responded at 3:20 a.m. on July 18th—damage is estimated at $75,000 and no one was hurt.  Naperville News 17

  • Naperville police are investigating a complaint that District 203 school board member Melissa Kelley Black recorded a citizen’s finance committee meeting without consent—she denies any wrongdoing and is seeking legal advice.  Daily Herald

  • On Tuesday, July 15, the Naperville Riverwalk hosted the Young Naperville Singers and local jazz musician Isabella Isherwood who performed a boat acoustic set with songs like 'Turn' and 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'—Downtown Naperville Alliance said the River Sounds series will run Tuesday evenings through July 29 to bring live music to the river.  Positively Naperville
  • Naperville North grad Andrew Russel and Naperville Central senior Adam Bodtke are set to join the School of Rock AllStars national tour from July 21 to July 26—Russel will tour the West and Bodtke the Northwest, finishing with a joint performance at Fitzgerald’s in Berwin on July 26.  Naperville News 17
