  • On Thursday, Naperville residents enjoyed a Municipal Band patriotic concert at Central Park with live cannon blasts, and today they can join the Freedom Ruck March from 8 a.m. at Riverwalk Grand Pavilion and watch a free fireworks show at 9:30 p.m. at Frontier Park. Additional weekend events include a farmers market on Saturday and art tours on Sunday & other local festivities.  Positively Naperville

  • A new countdown to prep football spotlights nine local quarterbacks as teams get ready for the 2025 season. The series details players like Israel Abrams, who led his team to a state title with several scholarship offers, and Trae Taylor, who is highly ranked—opening night will take place on Aug.29.  Daily Herald
