- ➤ On Tuesday, DuPage County officials awarded a total of $711,336 in grants through the Small Agency Grant Program to 32 nonprofits, including a $30,000 award to Carol Stream’s Repeat Boutique—known for offering free shopping every three months to families in need. The funding from American Rescue Plan Act earnings will help these groups expand services in areas such as housing, economic development, and health. Daily Herald

- ➤ A new restaurant called The George will open later this year in downtown Naperville at the former Bev’s location on 245 S. Washington St, offering modern American tavern fare and nodding to local history including George Laird.
