Patrick Joyce led a push with Illinois horse racing advocates and Decatur officials to urge lawmakers to pass a bill for a new racetrack and gaming facility while an auto racing simulator studio opened in South Barrington to offer immersive racing experiences. In Naperville a commission approved a townhouse and row house development and Catch 35 closed after 21 years, and a Whole Foods in St. Charles will open on June 25 at 9 a.m.—bringing new retail and dining options.
