- ➤ Naperville Police arrested three individuals after noticing suspicious behavior during a routine downtown patrol near Lululemon—recovering clothes with security sensors still attached and drugs, with two facing felony charges. Naperville News 17
- ➤ Naperville police arrested Marcus Carroll, a Cook County convicted felon, during a May 24 traffic stop and seized four loaded firearms—a Glock 43 with a fifty‐round drum magazine, a Glock 23 modified to fire fully automatic, a Springfield Hellcat, and a Glock 19—charging him with unlawful weapon possession and scheduling his next court appearance for June 23. - ➤ A team from Naperville Central High School won a state financial literacy challenge and will travel to Atlanta for the National Personal Finance Challenge on June 1-2. Coach C. - ➤ DuPage County Board approved a resolution Tuesday to create a county land bank that will turn empty land into affordable housing—county officials said the move will use a clean and lien program for control, and the board will ask nonprofit groups for help developing the sites—$5 million from surplus funds is set aside for the effort. - ➤ Emma Dvorak was promoted to Assistant Administrator at The Springs at Monarch Landing in May and will now oversee the Life Enrichment program — along with ancillary services; she began her journey as a server in 2011 and earned her Nursing Home Administrator License in December 2024.
