Naperville celebrated Memorial Day on May 25 with observances along the Riverwalk.
Ceremonies at (the Exchange Club Veterans Plaza) featured engraved words from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and a bronze Fallen Soldier sculpture, while wreath-laying began at (7:45 a.m.) at the Cmdr. Dan Shanower Memorial and local sites.
🎓 Education
Dr. Adrian Talley will conclude his six-year tenure as superintendent at Indian Prairie School District 204 at end of June, with Dr. John Price set to take over on July 1.
Talley, who advanced student mental health resources, is headed to a superintendent role in Stanford (Conn).

Hollywood Palms Cinema at 352 N.
Route 59 will host a community blood drive with Vitalant from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, where donors (receiving a free movie ticket) help keep the blood supply steady for emergencies.
