  • A.D.O.P.T. will host its 32nd annual Makin' Strides for Strays event on June 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Phillips Park in Aurora to raise funds for pet care and feature an expanded 5k run and walk with food trucks, music, and children’s activities (registration is $45).  Positively Naperville

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Naperville School District 203 officials are reviewing the proposed 2025-26 budget after a May 19 workshop, with a June 2 meeting and a public hearing on June 16 planned—officials are working on details like a 3.29% rise in revenues and a 6.52% jump in expenses. The district is also collecting board questions and feedback from a citizen finance committee—featuring local experts in real estate, law, and healthcare—to shape the final plan.  Naperville News 17
