- ➤ Organizers have planned Splashing into Summer to showcase 18 painted duck sculptures in downtown Naperville starting June 2—visitors can join a Duck Scavenger Hunt until Aug. 15 and watch a Rubber Duck Race on June 6 at 11 a.m.—which will raise funds for the Naperville Riverwalk Foundation. - ➤ Clubhouse540, a new indoor golf facility at 1466 Chicago Ave, will offer a virtual golfing experience with a simulator, golf lessons, and other games. The Naperville Liquor Commission approved an extra class M liquor license — it now goes to city council for final review as the business aims to open on July 1. Naperville News 17

- ➤ An Aurora chiropractor (46) was charged with sexually abusing two teen boys in his care after a 17-year-old patient reported abuse on January 11 at his office (3800-block of McCoy Drive) and a similar incident was alleged in 2016, with his next court appearance set for June 2. ABC7 Chicago
- ➤ Murtaza Hameed of Naperville was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, one count of attempted criminal sexual assault, and one count of misdemeanor battery after two boys in his care alleged abuse, and his next court appearance is set for June 2 — authorities said a similar incident was reported in 2016. - ➤ Familiar icons of spring will appear at Nichols Library on June 4 at 2PM when Naperville and College of DuPage’s McAninch Arts Center (MAC) unveil a new public art installation that celebrates Japanese ukiyo-e art; local artist Richard Lo is commissioned to create this mural as part of a county-wide project featuring 32 murals in 20 locations. - ➤ In May, Naperville Municipal Band clarinetist and band manager Cindy Neumann, who has been with the group for 16 years, returned to music after a 20-year break following inspiration from the Memorial Day Parade. - ➤ Naperville District 203 officials began reviewing a preliminary budget for the 2025-26 school year during a May 5 board meeting — the plan shows a 6.52% rise in expenses and a 3.29% boost in revenue, mostly from local property taxes.
