- ➤ Naperville Park District announced five spring activities planned for May to get residents outdoors. The events will include paddleboat, kayak and paddleboard rides at the Paddleboat Quarry starting Saturday May 10 — student summer memberships at Fort Hill Fitness available until June 30, ongoing golf lessons at Springbrook and Naperbrook, dance auditions on Tuesday May 27 for ages 6-18, and beginner archery programs. - ➤ Downtown Naperville will welcome the annual 'Splashing into Summer' event starting Monday, June 2 when 18 painted duck sculptures are installed above water to celebrate summer art. - ➤ Four days after a ransomware attack hit DuPage County computers at 2:30 a.m. Monday, officials said that county services like the sheriff’s office, circuit clerk’s office and courthouse kept working thanks to thorough planning + the FBI and U.S. Secret Service are investigating while no data breach has been confirmed. - ➤ Naperville will launch its annual free curbside bulk brush collection program next week with pickups on May 4th, 11th, 18th, 26th and June 1st to help residents clean up their yards. Brush must be neatly piled on the parkway and follow size guidelines—branches should be between 3 and 8 feet long and no more than 6 inches in diameter—while residents can check the city’s map for their assigned week.
