- ➤ Naperville has been named among the Top 100 Best Places to Live in the US by Livability for the second year in a row—earning high marks in health, education, and safety. The listing also credited strong schools, parks, and a vibrant downtown for the city's recognition. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Ancho & Agave will take over the space formerly occupied by Houlihan’s at 2860 Showplace Drive later this summer. The restaurant will serve Mexican food like tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas with dining and carryout options after renovations finish. Naperville News 17
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ North Central College will host two music events at Wentz Concert Hall in May—on May 9 at 7 p.m. the Chicago Sinfonietta will perform works that explore musical transformation, and on May 17 at 7:30 p.m. the DuPage Symphony Orchestra will perform selections celebrating cultural heritage. Tickets range from $55 to $65 for the Sinfonietta show and from $10 to $43 for the DSO event. Positively Naperville
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ City council approved an updated agreement between Naperville and the Naperville Heritage Society on April 15 for oversight of the historic Naper Settlement — the new deal clarifies governance, financial management, and shared employee roles for the site. Naperville News 17
- ➤ The Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on April 16 and denied the proposal to expand a U-Haul operation at the Marathon gas station on 991 W. Ogden Ave — property owner Henry Patel said he will work with neighbors until further approvals are provided. Naperville News 17
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Kiera Jenke, a junior runner at Benet Academy, won the 1,600 and 800 races and led her team to a relay win that earned her Girls MVP honors at Naperville North’s Gus Scott Invitational on April 17th. Her coach said she boosted her confidence by stepping out of Deliah Helenhouse’s shadow + helped her team finish in second place behind the Huskies. Daily Herald
