- ➤ A landscaper rescued a driver trapped in a car that veered into a pond near the intersection of Royal Worlington Drive and Illinois Route 59 on Wednesday around 10:00 a.m. after a traffic accident, and firefighters later freed the driver and provided on-scene care—officials commended the quick response. - ➤ Naperville police arrested Dannie Thompson, 35, of Chicago for aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon after finding a firearm, an open bottle of tequila, and a cup of tequila in an unoccupied car at the Topgolf parking lot (3211 Odyssey Ct) on Saturday, April 12 shortly after midnight; his arrest marks the eighth gun-related arrest at this location this year.
