- ➤ Naperville Fire Department specialist Soraya McLaughlin explained that hoarding creates clutter which can block exits and bring fire risks—flames from heat sources and obstructed pathways put both residents and first responders in danger. - ➤ Naperville city is inviting teens to design art to cover six streetlight controller boxes near Naperville Central and Naperville North High Schools. Interested participants must submit entries by April 30 (final selections will be announced by May 20 with installations by June 30) to help bring color to plain traffic equipment. - ➤ Naperville firefighters Danny Puknaitis and Michael Jost invented the Poseidon Nozzle to fight electric car fires by attaching it to a hose and sliding it under burning vehicles to stop battery fires.
