- ➤ Good Shepherd Church in Naperville will host Holy Week services during Lent and invites families to join its Easter Bash on April 12 with a breakfast and egg hunt. The church will hold a Maundy Thursday service on April 17 at 6:30 p.m., Good Friday services on April 18 at 12:30 and 6:30 p.m., Easter Saturday celebrations on April 19 at 4 and 6:30 p.m., and Easter Sunday services on April 20 at 9, 10:45 and 12:30 p.m. Daily Herald
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Naperville police arrested three people last week in the Topgolf parking lot — one for aggravated unlawful possession and two for related offenses, which brings the total gun-related arrests near the venue to seven since early February. Naperville Sun
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Indian Prairie School District 204 is developing a Portrait of an Educator that outlines five key qualities—creativity, adaptability, perseverance, relationship-building, and critical thinking—that will guide teacher recruitment and professional growth. A committee of about 25 educators began the three-year process this fall with Battelle for Kids, building on the district’s successful Portrait of a Graduate. Naperville News 17
- ➤ The Naperville 203 Education Foundation will host its 32nd annual Building a Passion Breakfast on April 16 from 7-9 a.m. at The Matrix Club at 808 S. Route 59. More than 400 local leaders will attend to view videos, newspaper segments and student artwork and performances—highlighting NEF initiatives to expand opportunities for Naperville students—while celebrating over 30 years of community support. - ➤ Naperville District 203 administrators will present a new recommendation on schedule changes at Monday, April 21 board meeting after a review raised concerns among parents, teachers and students. The proposal would not affect the 2025–26 school year but would be delayed until the 2026–27 year as more community feedback is sought. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Residents in DuPage County can now text 911 dispatchers for emergencies when it is unsafe or not possible to call; the new service, compatible with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile on any text-capable device, launched Tuesday—voice calls remain the preferred method. FOX 32

- ➤ Naperville resident Danny Crawford spent 32 seasons as an NBA referee and was named to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame for the Class of 2025. His induction will be celebrated at an event Sept. 5-6 — marking a career that included over 2,000 regular season games and 23 NBA Finals seasons. Naperville Sun
- ➤ Yesterday, Neuqua Valley beat Naperville Central 2-1 in their DuPage Valley Conference opener—Miabelli Kraai scored her first season goal and Alexis May assisted senior Selma Larbi while Naperville Central struggled with slow starts. Daily Herald
