- ➤ Naperville residents have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy many local events this weekend. Friday featured a fish fry at Judd Kendall VFW starting at 4:30 p.m. and a choral finale at Wentz Concert Hall at 7 p.m.—today brings the Holi Festival at Rotary Hill while Sunday will offer live music at Quigley’s and free self-guided art tours downtown. - ➤ The White Sheep—a breakfast and brunch restaurant from Orland Park—will open a second location at 22 E. Chicago Ave. in Naperville’s River District by July; the new spot will offer scratch-made meals and baked treats from its in-house bakery. Naperville Sun
- ➤ This summer, Pronto Italian Sandwiches will open its new shop at 221 S. Washington St. in downtown Naperville — it takes over the former BD’s Mongolian Grill space that has been vacant since January 2024. Owner Peter Burdi said his restaurant makes sandwiches with schiacciata and plans to apply for a liquor license to offer Italian-inspired drinks. Naperville Sun
- ➤ Nicor Gas shares safety tips to help residents keep gas meters clear and appliances unplugged during severe spring storms and says its below-ground delivery system reliably maintains service even when wind, rain, hail, tornadoes and snow occur. The company also advises energy-saving home improvements—such as programming thermostats and sealing leaks—to help reduce energy bills. Daily Herald

- ➤ Today the Naperville Park District urges park visitors to keep a safe distance from nesting geese, protective coyotes, and turtles on the move. They advise against feeding waterfowl plus following park guidelines to help keep wildlife healthy throughout spring. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Du-Comm will celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week from April 13—19 to honor the team that handles emergency calls and directs help to our community. The center marks its 50th anniversary after processing over 1 million calls last year while serving 45 agencies. Daily Herald
