- ➤ Nicor Gas shares safety tips to help residents keep gas meters clear and appliances unplugged during severe spring storms and says its below-ground delivery system reliably maintains service even when wind, rain, hail, tornadoes and snow occur. - ➤ Du-Comm will celebrate National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week from April 13—19 to honor the team that handles emergency calls and directs help to our community. The center marks its 50th anniversary after processing over 1 million calls last year while serving 45 agencies. Daily Herald
