Naperville Noon Lions sponsored a Feed My Starving Children event at Benedictine University in early March and joined local volunteers on March 8 to pack meals for those in need—while their board approved $17,500 in donations for several local charities at a meeting held at the Pomegranate Restaurant in Aurora.

Pronto Italian Sandwiches will open downtown Naperville this summer at 221 S Washington St where a building is split into two parts.

Founders Peter Burdi, his wife Dana, and chef Saul Maya—who got the idea in Italy—plan to serve 11 sandwich types with fresh schiacciata bread and will ask for a liquor license to serve alcohol.

A Neuqua Valley High School teacher, William Schaub, was arrested on April 3 after school officials reported a tip on March 7 about an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student, and investigators found messages and evidence of physical contact that have led him to face charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and grooming.
