- ➤ A new Bricks & Minifigs shop is opening in Naperville at Naper West Plaza, 564 Route 59, with a grand opening set for Saturday, April 5th at 11 a.m. Owner Lydia Petrovic said the store will sell and trade Lego pieces and host events—such as a scavenger hunt, raffle, and free custom torso giveaway for the first 100 customers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Allison Fosdick—aged 47, an adjunct professor and former board member—is running for one of four seats on the Indian Prairie Unit District 204 board in Naperville. She says her extensive volunteer experience prepares her to support local education policies that benefit students and families. Daily Herald
- ➤ Susan Taylor-Demming, 65, a community college advancement director from Naperville who has served on the District 204 board since 2017, is running for re-election to continue her service. - ➤ Laurie Donahue (67) is a retired telecom manager from Naperville running for a seat on the Indian Prairie Unit District 204 board. She brings years of board leadership experience and plans to improve academic policies and financial decisions to support local schools. Daily Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ On March 13th, the Naperville Park Board voted 4-2 to limit discounts on park facilities and programs to current commissioners only—former commissioners will no longer receive these benefits. The board made the change after a full discussion on the policy's community value and adherence to park code rules. Naperville News 17
