Naperville Park District has named its new green space Plank Road Park after the historic plank road that once served local farmers.

The park, featuring a playground, shelter, and walkway, was named after a 60-day feedback period and will open in late 2027.

Naperville wedding planner Laura Panozzo, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer, is hosting a Wedding Expo and fundraiser today at The Crawford (119 Shuman Blvd.) from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will support breast cancer research and her business and feature over 70 local vendors.
