- ➤ Local high school students from Neuqua Valley earned three firsts at the IHSA Speech State Finals held last weekend at the Peoria Civic Center, tying for second in team scores with Downers Grove South. - ➤ Naperville teacher Matthew White from Scullen Middle School was named a finalist for the Golden Apple Award by selecting him among nearly 600 nominees statewide for his innovative work in music education that supports deaf students and launched a Carnatic ensemble.
