  • Registration is open for the 17th Annual Naperville Sunrise Rotary St. Paddy’s Day 5K — set to start at 8 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 14 in downtown Naperville. Costumed runners can race to raise funds for DuPage PADS, Loaves & Fishes Community Services, and NAMI DuPage.  Positively Naperville

CULTURE NEWS

  • West Suburban Irish named longtime member Eddie Curley as the 2026 St. Patrick’s Day Parade grand marshal; the parade starts March 14 at 10 a.m. from Mill Street and Ogden Avenue near Naperville North High School and ends on Webster Avenue and Porter Street near Naperville Central High School.  Naperville News 17

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Naperville School District 203 will cut spending to address a projected $12.39 million shortfall for the 2026 to 27 budget by consolidating resources and streamlining staffing. Officials plan to meet with lawmakers and present a detailed staffing plan for a board vote on March 16.  Naperville News 17

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Crews began work on the WaterLink project along Book Road in Naperville in mid-December 2025 to extend Lake Michigan water service to Montgomery, Oswego and Yorkville; the first section will take about one year to complete while the full project is set to finish in roughly two and a half years with water delivery starting in 2028 (project funding includes federal and local contributions).  Positively Naperville

HEALTH NEWS

  • Versiti is urging eligible donors to give O-negative and O-positive blood today at its centers in Naperville and Aurora as extreme winter weather may slow donations needed for patients. Donations take about an hour and donors must be 17 or older (parental consent is needed at age 16).  Positively Naperville
