- ➤ Loaves & Fishes announced the Hub 2.0 expansion, adding 32,000 sqft to its Aurora facility to boost local food access for families and partner pantries. The project is backed by a $5 million lead gift from Endeavor Health’s Impact Award and will begin construction in 2026 with completion set for 2027. Positively Naperville
- ➤ On Dec. 4, the Historic Preservation Commission voted unanimously to recommend landmark status for Naperville’s First Congregational Church, moving the proposal to the City Council in January 2026. Longtime member Vicki Keller, who led the effort, said the designation honors the church's rich history & community ties. Naperville News 17

- ➤ ArtForum Naperville unveiled its interactive Music Box on Tuesday in downtown Naperville between the Apple and Sephora stores. The installation lets visitors play a piano that moves hot air balloons and lights them up, and it will be on display through the end of January. Naperville News 17
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At a Dec. 9 meeting, the DuPage Forest Preserve board reviewed two proposals for Oak Cottage near Naperville: James Privitt’s plan to relocate and restore the 1850 farmhouse with tours, and a proposal to convert it into a cultural center opening in 2029.
