COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli posted a photo on Facebook showing an engagement proposal at Riverwalk Labyrinth— then met with Wyatt Gotter and Molly Klessig to deliver a surprise gift— treats and gift cards donated by downtown businesses. The couple was identified two weeks after the proposal, and their moment brought strong local support.  Naperville News 17
  • Naperville officials and Block 59 partners celebrated The Rink’s grand opening on Thursday morning with a ribbon-cutting. The outdoor rink (60 by 120 feet on a 7,200-square-foot space) offers free skating along with paid entry (adults $14, children under 12, seniors and first responders $12) starting Nov. 21 and will host holiday events in December and January.  Naperville News 17

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Nov. 19, the Naperville Planning and Zoning Commission voted 8—1 in favor of granting Karis Critical Data Center a conditional-use permit for a 40.87 acre parcel along the I—88 corridor after four meetings with public testimony. The decision follows months of review and community input and sets up a final review by the city council.  Naperville News 17
