NCTV17 Executive Director Elizabeth Braham Spencer received the KidsMatter Kids' Champion Award on November 15 at the EMPOWER Gala for her long-standing work mentoring local youth—her efforts helped launch a high school internship program and promote positive choices among young people. This recognition highlights her commitment since joining the station in 2002 and her impact on community youth development.

Sean Sacramento—an Aurora native—released his new song 'Downtown Naperville' which went viral and earned praise from Mayor Scott Wehrli and downtown leaders.

He said he created the tune while at work and now plans to grow his music career further.
