- ➤ Illinois lawmakers passed Senate Bill 1950, known as Deb’s Law, yesterday to let terminally ill patients request medication to end their lives and it now awaits Gov. Pritzker’s signature—patients must be mentally capable and have six months or less to live. The bill is named for a local advocate and would become law nine months after the governor's signature.
