- ➤ An outdoor ice skating rink will open at Block 59 on Nov. 20 and run through Jan. 18 to offer residents a fun winter activity—featuring events like a free skate day and themed sessions such as Skate with Santa. - ➤ A new restaurant Yaba Sushi & Asian Cuisine opened at Naperville Crossings on Oct 1 at 2835 Showplace Dr, Suite #103—local owners Qing Zhu and Li Li launched the store—aiming to offer fresh sushi and Asian dishes with a unique plate design. Naperville News 17
- ➤ Miami-based Barry's plans to occupy a long-vacant 4,266-square-foot space at 50 S. Main St.—the Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously supported the proposal on Oct. 1 while a zoning variance is still needed before city council approval. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Benet Academy graduate Jordan De Leon made his Broadway debut in August as part of the Mamma Mia ensemble at Winter Garden Theater—fulfilling a long-held dream—and he will perform eight times a week until the show closes in February. Naperville News 17
- ➤ Naperville Art League will launch its online silent auction on October 6 featuring original, juried artwork donated by local artists to support art education. The event will end with the One Artistic Evening gala on October 10 at the Judd Kendall VFW where attendees can bid, view art, and enjoy raffles + appetizers. Positively Naperville

- ➤ North Central College welcomed a record 921 new undergraduates for fall 2025 – 657 were first-year students and 264 were transfers – and reached a total enrollment of 3,179, the highest in its 164-year history.
