  • Five Naperville businesses have been named among the fastest-growing companies on the Inc.5000 list based on revenue gains from 2021 to 2024 — the group includes Grow Wellness, AiRo Digital Labs, Tapville, Impact Advisors, and GET Logistics. Inc. Magazine compiled the list to highlight the strong performance of these local firms.  Naperville News 17

CULTURE NEWS

  • North Central College announced its Fine and Performing Arts calendar for October with music and theatre events scheduled at Wentz Concert Hall and the Theatre at Meiley Swallow Hall, offering performances from Oct. 3 through Oct. 31 with ticket prices ranging from $7 to $65. The schedule features special events like a Homecoming concert with NCC ensembles, Chicago a cappella’s season opener, and a festive Bollywood show to celebrate Diwali—presenting Naperville residents with diverse cultural experiences.  Positively Naperville
  • Naperville’s Centennial Park now features four new murals that bring color and hope as Max’s Mission honors Max and supports residents facing mental health challenges. The murals, finished in September, will be celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.—a project led by local artist Peter Thaddeus in partnership with the park district and community groups.  Naperville News 17

  • Natasha Grover, a former board member and attorney, was appointed on Monday to fill the vacant seat on the IPSD 204 board after Supna Jain took a council seat—she will serve until the next election in April 2027 while the board addresses union contract negotiations and a superintendent search.  Naperville News 17

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On Tuesday, Sept. 23, DuPage County Board Chair Deborah Conroy presented a balanced FY2026 budget that supports county services with an $18.1 million social services initiative—keeping property taxes flat at 2 percent. County officials will review the final plan at the Nov. 25 meeting, with a total budget of $644.7 million and a $71.5 million property tax levy.  Positively Naperville
