- ➤ After a ribbon-cutting on Wednesday morning, Heinen’s grocery store opened its 46,000 square-foot location at 1244 E Chicago Ave yesterday — it offers produce, meats, bakery items, a cheese shop, a butcher, a fish market, tacos and bowls, and an alcohol section for guests 21 and older. Delivery and free curbside pickup are available and the store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Naperville News 17

- ➤ Indian Prairie School District 204 approved a $455 million budget for the 2025—26 school year that balances spending with a small excess of $210,900 and allocates $54.4 million in facility improvements through referendum bonds—projects such as high school renovations will begin this summer. The plan transfers $12.1 million for technology upgrades and cuts staffing by 10.5 positions for 26,000 students while administrators plan to propose a property tax levy on Nov. 17 with a vote on Dec. 15.
