During Hunger Action Month, Loaves & Fishes Community Services launches its Nourish Together campaign with a $15 million goal to boost healthy food access; locals are invited to donate, volunteer and share information to help more neighbors thrive.
🎭 Culture
Last Fling will return downtown from Sept.
4–7 with live music, a carnival and family activities along Jackson Avenue and the Riverwalk; a Labor Day Parade will be held on Sept. 7 at 10 a.m.–12 p.m. Organized by the Naperville Jaycees, this free event will support local nonprofits.
Magical Starlight Theatre auditions will be held on Sat., Sept.
26 (1-7 p.m.) and Sun., Sept. 27 (1-5 p.m.) at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Avenue, downtown Naperville. Child and adult actors must prepare a vocal piece, monologue, and dance for the January production of Anastasia.
🏥 Health
DuPage County Health Department reported the first human West Nile Virus case in 2026 and urged residents to reduce standing water and use EPA-registered repellent to avoid mosquito bites.
