Paul DeKruiff became a JCI Senator during a surprise ceremony at the 2025 Last Fling on Labor Day in downtown Naperville—family, friends and members recognized his long-time service and leadership.
He, who manages the Labor Day Parade, joins more than 8,000 awardees nationwide and is one of only three Senators in the Naperville Jaycees.

Karis Critical has proposed a boutique data center on the north side of Naperville in the I-88 technology and research corridor—planners will review the project Wednesday amid community concerns about power demand and water use.
The single-phase design is planned to boost local revenue and offers flexibility—providing capacity for multiple enterprise users.
