On August 13, a ceremony along Douglas at Webster unveiled a new street sign naming a portion of the avenue Sgt. Robert L.
Miller Way to honor his military service, teaching, and community work in Naperville. Mayor Wehrli and family members joined in the tribute.

L.L.Bean will open its new store on Sept.
25 at 336 S. Route 59 in Westridge Court. The 16,000 sqft location is the fourth in Illinois and will add 40 new jobs.

Dianne Hutchison celebrated 50 years with the Naperville Municipal Band on Thursday, Aug.
6, curating a concert that reflects her lifelong love for music (she began as a young flutist) and included performances with her family, while Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli presented a proclamation in her honor.
🎓 Education
Superintendent Dr. John Price kicked off school for Indian Prairie School District 204 today at Brookdale Elementary by ringing the bell to mark the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
The tradition brought together excited students (and teachers welcoming a fresh start).
