In August, the Naperville Park District offers five events for residents to enjoy summer’s end and plan for fall.

Operation Support Our Troops — America, in partnership with the Naperville Park District and Naperville Responds for Veterans, will host the Healing Field of Honor from November 7 to 12 on Rotary Hill on the Naperville Riverwalk to honor Vietnam War veterans.
The event marks the 50th anniversary of welcoming home U.S. troops from South Vietnam and will benefit veteran programs through flag purchases.

Naperville City Council held an energy workshop on July 28 as experts and residents discussed a potential 20-year contract extension with the Illinois Municipal Electric Agency, focusing on pricing and energy sources.
