Naperville siblings Aahana and Vihaan Chawla are running a Hope for Youth back-to-school supply drive (backpacks, pencils, and rulers) to help students at Fry Family YMCA, local libraries and schools until July 20.
They plan to expand efforts with a volunteer event at senior homes.

Five Iron Golf is set to open a downtown Naperville venue at 47 E.
Chicago Ave (above Wells Fargo) that features 12 simulator bays and a full-service kitchen. A late-night permit was approved, extending hours and moving the project forward.
🎭 Culture
River Sounds returned to the Riverwalk with a custom-built floating stage, adding a twist to the free Tuesday night concert series after last week's on-land performance.
It runs every Tuesday through early August (6:30 p.m. on land, 8:00 p.m. on river) and is funded by a city grant.
🎓 Education
Naperville businessman Ray Kinney III (H’10) has been elected chair of the North Central College Board of Trustees, replacing Michael Naset who remains on the board.
Kinney, a longtime board member with deep business ties, said his appointment will boost the College’s growth and community impact.
IPSD 204 updated its website, social media, online forms and newsletters to meet federal digital accessibility standards, completing an April milestone.
The district’s new accessibility committee (with representation from every department) will work to enhance digital content further by April 2027.
🏛️ Government
The SBA issued a disaster declaration after June 11 storms hit Naperville, offering low-interest disaster loans to cover losses not fully insured.
Applications for physical property damage are due Sept. 8 & economic injury loans can be applied for until April 12.

A resort-style mansion at 28W660 Perkins Court sold for $8.3 million last Friday, breaking Naperville and Will County records.
The 21,361 sqft home offers seven bedrooms, luxury amenities, and a private theater — a sign of the growing ultra-luxury market in the area.
