  • Naperville resident Steve Bernas, president and CEO of the BBB, said yesterday that scams—ranging from impersonation to deepfake fraud—have cost billions and raised concerns about growing A.I. risks. The BBB Scam Tracker recorded over 3,600 reports since 2022, prompting business owners to boost their cybersecurity measures.  Positively Naperville

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • DuPage County awarded a combined $711K in grants to 32 small nonprofit agencies on June 24 to support programs in job readiness, education, housing, behavioral health and food assistance. The funds were distributed equally among the six board districts and were given only to organizations with less than $300K in revenue and tax-exempt status — county officials said.  Naperville News 17
