The DuPage Foundation awarded over $1.3 million to 71 nonprofits, including five Naperville groups, in its Spring Community Impact grant cycle on June 11.
It is now accepting fall grant applications for nonprofits in youth education, workforce development, environmental concerns, and animal welfare, with applications closing Friday, Sept. 4 — check guidelines for eligibility.
The Naperville Jaycees will host the Labor Day Parade starting at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept.
7 along a route starting near Naperville North High School and ending near Naperville Central High School. Organizers are coordinating with local emergency teams to ensure a safe family event.

Jefferson Ave.—will close next month to merge with the remodeled Anderson’s Bookshop at 123 W. Jefferson Ave. A sale will start after the Independence Day weekend and the move will wrap up by late July.
