Naperville Neighbors United held its fifth annual Juneteenth celebration on Saturday at Rotary Hill, featuring live music, dancing, food trucks, over 30 vendors, and educational booths on African American history.
Community leaders including Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli and Illinois Senator Laura Ellman marked the occasion with remarks on its cultural significance.

Construction on the new North Central College Riverwalk Park at Washington Street and Aurora Avenue began last month and will finish by Oct.
30. The park adds plaza areas and a college gateway arch (with college-funded plaques) to extend the Riverwalk as part of the 2031 Master Plan.
