- ➤ The Naperville Noon Lions launched their annual summer raffle on June 1, offering four cash prizes including a $5,000 grand prize to be drawn the Tuesday after Labor Day — tickets are sold outside Casey’s Foods and Ace Hardware on North Washington Street and online. The club is also planning a Styrofoam recycling event for Sept. 6 at a to-be-announced location — the effort follows a successful May event that collected 23 large bags of foam. Positively Naperville
- ➤ Families in Naperville can enjoy a range of summer programs at the Fry Family Y, which offers swim lessons, a junior lifeguard camp, and youth sports camps to help kids stay active and learn new skills — registration is available online or in person at the front desk. Positively Naperville
- ➤ Beginning June 30, 2025, selected streetlight controller boxes near Naperville Central High School and Naperville North High School will be wrapped with artwork by six teen artists from Neuqua Valley and Naperville Central, as city officials announced following a Call for Teen Artists this spring—elevating local public art with fresh student designs. - ➤ Brenda Baird-Watterson, CEO of Truly Engaging, told DuPage County Board members that her company waited months for about $200,000 for printing and mailing services during the spring elections. The county clerk’s office owes roughly $1.2 million plus a judge’s ruling is pending to settle the accounting dispute ahead of a court hearing on Aug. 19. Daily Herald

- ➤ Blake Fagbemi led Benet Academy to a state title with a 55-54 win over Warren on March 15 at State Farm Center, ending his high school career with a memorable celebration. After switching his college commitment from Truman State, Fagbemi now plans to make an impact at Illinois using his season averages of 12.6 points and 6.5 assists per game. Daily Herald
