  • Naperville Neighbors United will host the free Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration on Saturday, June 14 (noon to 3 p.m.) at Rotary Hill, where food trucks, live music, dancing, and educational booths honor the end of slavery. The event, held at 443 Aurora Ave, marks its fourth year and requires online registration from families planning to attend.  Naperville News 17

  • Yesterday, Naperville North lost 1-0 in overtime in the Class 3A state final girls soccer game as O’Fallon’s Allie Tredway scored with 5.7 seconds remaining—Coach Steve Goletz praised the team’s hard work—highlighting a season defined by resilience despite falling a goal short of the state title.  Daily Herald
  • Gino Zagorac pitched for Benet and struck out six batters while allowing one hit as his team won a 7-0 game over St. Francis for its first sectional title since 2017—run support from a four-run second inning set the stage.
