More than 2,000 rubber ducks raced in the DuPage River downtown on Friday morning in the annual duck race that raised over $10,000 for Riverwalk improvements; Duck No. 1110 won first place, and winners received cash and gift cards while the event encouraged exploration of local shops.

Food vendor applications for the 2026 Last Fling are open until July 17 as part of an upcoming end-of-summer event downtown.

The celebration will run from Friday, Sept. 4 to Monday, Sept. 7 along Jackson Avenue from Carnival at Eagle Street to the Musical Stage at Main Street.

The Belmont American Steakhouse is set to make a limited debut in downtown Naperville with public reservations beginning Sunday evening for dinner at 4 p.m. Located at 35 S Washington St, the restaurant offers premium cuts from small farms and a 1960s dining ambiance.
