- ➤ Today, downtown Naperville has 18 giant duck sculptures on display for the Riverwalk Duck Race fundraiser — presented by the Downtown Naperville Alliance and Castle Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to benefit the Riverwalk Foundation; more than 1,465 rubber duck numbers have already been sold as the race will begin Friday, June 6 from the Eagle Street Bridge with sales ending June 5. - ➤ ComEd raised its electricity supply rate to about 10 cents per kilowatt-hour on June 1, increasing customers' monthly bills by roughly $10.60. Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul filed a complaint in April over flawed auction rules that led to the price hike — the new rate will stay in effect until October. FOX 32

- ➤ At a May 29 meeting, the Naperville Public Utilities Advisory Board reviewed studies that compared IMEA’s and ComEd’s rates and market stability to see what might happen if the city does not renew its contract—experts warned that shifting price trends and a complex procurement process could lead to challenges if Naperville went solo. The board had earlier recommended extending the contract with a narrow 4-3 vote to support its renewable energy efforts. Naperville News 17
