Naperville Riverwalk will host live music on summer Tuesdays as the new River Sounds event launches Tuesday, June 17 and runs through July 29 except July 1, with performances from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at Jaycees WiFi Park and from 8:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on a secured boat—offering a mix of acoustic, pop, folk and global sounds by local musicians. Residents are invited to bring a blanket or bag chair to enjoy the music on a pleasant summer evening downtown.

Naperville North athlete Shania Tandon, who was hit by a car last year, will run a 3200 meter race today at the IHSA Track and Field State Championship—then she will take part in the Miss Illinois Teen USA pageant as she chases two dreams in one day.
