Naperville is set to offer a free finished compost giveaway on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may pick up to 20 gallons at 91st/Wolf’s Crossing & the Public Works Service Center if they bring their own containers.

Residents can donate unwanted shoes at local DSW stores (Naperville, Bolingbrook, Oakbrook) or organize neighborhood drives to help children in need, with contributions supporting Soles4Souls locally and Afrikicks overseas.

The program offers 50 reward points per pair and a $100 donation provides three pairs of sneakers.
