- ➤ Naperville is set to offer a free finished compost giveaway on Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents may pick up to 20 gallons at 91st/Wolf’s Crossing & the Public Works Service Center if they bring their own containers. Naperville News 17
- ➤ Residents can donate unwanted shoes at local DSW stores (Naperville, Bolingbrook, Oakbrook) or organize neighborhood drives to help children in need, with contributions supporting Soles4Souls locally and Afrikicks overseas. - ➤ Naperville residents Dave Masa and his wife Vickie are urging lawmakers to require radon testing in all schools, with tests mandated by 2029 if Senate Bill 2438 passes. - ➤ Naperville has implemented a new enforceable e-bike ordinance for young riders that requires riders be at least 16, bans sidewalk and Riverwalk riding, and limits trail speeds to 15 mph — measures designed to reduce accidents and keep children safer, with parents urged to review these rules.
