ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A semi-truck hauling metal pipes overturned early Friday morning at 5:42 a.m. on the northbound Route 53 ramp and caused significant traffic delays as crews cleared the scene and police investigated the cause—no injuries were reported. FOX 32
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Naperville city officials hosted a traffic safety webinar on Wednesday to share plans that lower collisions by using engineering, enforcement and education—data showed 721 fewer crashes last year than in the pre-COVID era. Officials urged residents to provide detailed traffic complaints so engineers can target speeding, failure to yield and lane misuse on busy roads. Naperville News 17
- ➤ Naperville’s Park Board will vote this spring on a tribute project at Centennial Park proposed by Max’s Mission to honor Max Wijangco who died by suicide in 2022. The project calls for four murals and two concrete structures near the skate facility—MM Peters Construction Inc. will donate $5,000 in labor as the nonprofit seeks to cover a remaining cost of about $6,200.
