- ➤ The AAUW Naperville Area named Liz Spencer — former NCTV17 executive director — as its 2026 Woman of the Year for her leadership in mentoring Naperville’s storytellers. - ➤ Naper Nights returns to Naperville’s Naper Settlement with six tribute concerts featuring Taylor Swift, Van Halen, and more. The events run from June 19 to August 15 and include food, games (painting for kids) and other activities to support the Naperville Heritage Society’s mission to preserve local history. - ➤ The City of Naperville will host a public input session from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wed., April 29 at Meeting Room C in the Municipal Center to gather resident feedback on the third phase of the downtown streetscape project, which plans to rebuild city streets before spring construction in 2027. - ➤ Naperville City Council voted Tuesday, April 21 to allocate $24,738 in SECA funds for city services used during this year’s India Day Parade, with the funding limited to the parade portion of the event. The measure passed by a narrow 5-4 vote. Naperville News 17
