  • Residents in Naperville can vote early today at the Municipal Center from 8AM to 7PM and watch the NCAA Tournament game tonight at 8:45PM, while Paul Felstrup gets his 24th head shave for St. Baldrick’s at Naperville North High School on Friday. Other events this weekend include a Friday Night Fish Fry at Judd Kendall VFW starting at 4:30PM and online orders for a VFW plant sale, along with dining, shopping and cultural experiences—ensuring a lively community calendar.  Positively Naperville

  • Pickleball Kingdom plans to expand to Naperville with a new indoor facility that will offer climate controlled courts, youth programs, professional coaching, leagues, tournaments, and a lounge area. Franchise owners (Saumil Parikh, Chirdip Sheth, Hemang Patel, and Dhaval Sheth) are scouting locations in town as they prepare to bring this facility to the city.  Naperville News 17

CRIME NEWS

  • On March 18th around 10 p.m., Naperville police observed a handgun in plain view in a parked black Kia at Topgolf and arrested Juan Ricardo Gomez, 43, from Griffith, Indiana—he was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after officers discovered a loaded handgun with an extended magazine without a valid permit—marking the fourth gun-related arrest at the location since early February.  Naperville News 17

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Naperville-based Charleston Investments announced plans to build 30 single-family homes for seniors on a 7.2-acre site along Aurora Avenue, pending rezoning from a low-density district to transitional use. City staff recommended the proposal and the city council will decide soon—local residents voiced mixed views on water drainage and neighborhood density—while some support the new development.  Naperville News 17
